Manage distribution lists
You can create a distribution list and populate it with both internal and external recipients.
To create a distribution list, complete the following steps.
- Open the Distribution List Manager form.
- If this is the first distribution list to be created in the symplr Provider database, click Create a new record. Otherwise, on the symplr Provider toolbar, click New.
- In the Distribution List Manager form, expand the Distribution List Setup section.
- In the Description box, type a unique description of the Distribution List.
- Click Save.
By adding a user or group to a , you can send reports and packets to their inbox hub. By adding external (non-symplr Provider) users to a distribution list, you can send the same information to their email.
To add a symplr Provider user to a distribution list, complete the following steps.
- Open the Distribution List Manager form.
- Expand the Users section, then click Add .
- In Add Users, select one or more users, then click OK.
- Click Save.
To add an external user to a distribution list, complete the following steps.
- Open the Distribution List Manager.
- Expand the External Users section, then click Add .
- In Create External User, type the name and email address of the user, then click OK.Note
External user information is not stored in symplr Provider.

- Click Save.
To add a symplr Provider user group to a distribution list, complete the following steps.
- Open the Distribution List Manager form.
- Expand the User Groups section, then click Add .
- In Add User Groups, select one or more user groups, then click OK.
- Click Save.
