Credentialing

Credentialing is the process of gathering, validating, and assessing the qualifications of a health care practitioner to provide patient care services in or for a health care organization. symplr Provider has extensive features to facilitate and record this process.

Completing a credentialing process in symplr Provider typically includes the following steps.

1. Creating a definition for each type of credentialing process.
2. Creating a credentialing instance for either an individual provider or a group of providers.
3. Gathering the necessary provider records and verify the information.
4. Assessing the provider's qualifications and record the assignment of credentials and privileging to the provider or group of providers.
