Managing external users in distribution lists

Administrators can select which user groups can add external users to distribution lists to limit which external users have access to scheduled items by limiting access to More > Set Security on the toolbar.

To limit access, administrators can add/modify/remove Set Security access for specific user groups from any of the following system forms to manage which user groups can add external users.

  • S: Entities Master Setup

  • S: Security Manager

  • S: User Groups Master Setup

The Distribution List Manager also includes button and field level security allowing administrators to set security on select items, such as external distribution lists.

Be sure to enable the audit log on all forms, in order to verify that only selected user groups can add external users to distribution lists.
