Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Administrator Permissions
There are two permission areas related to Root Cause Analysis:

Manage Root Cause Analysis : Users can view existing RCAs shown on the RCA dashboard.

Manage Root Cause Analysis - Create : Users can create new RCAs.
Permissions to view RCAs in the navigation panel is applied through a group. Groups that create or manage RCAs must be created prior to assigning permissions. Permissions can be added to an existing group, or a new group can be created.
Assigning Permissions to Manage Root Cause Analysis
RCAs can only be seen by users assigned Manage Root Cause Analysis permissions. Users with Manage Root Cause Analysis permissions can view existing RCAs in the dashboard but not create new cases. Follow the steps to add Manage Root Cause Analysis group permissions.

Click Administration in the left navigation bar.

Click Groups.

Click the name of the group to gain Manage Root Cause Analysis permissions.

Click Permissions tab.

Check Allow beside Manage Root Case Analysis.
NoteUsers with Manage Root Cause Analysis permissions can access the RCA tool through the navigation panel and view existing cases. These permissions apply to the security group. Individual members of the security group can be added through the Members tab.

Click Save.
Assigning Create Permissions to Root Cause Analysis
New RCAs can only be created by users with Manage Root Cause Analysis - Create permissions. Users with Create permissions are also given Manage Root Cause Analysis permissions by default. Follow the steps to add Manage Root Cause Analysis-Create group permissions.
